Difference between HB / L and MB / L

1. The issuing body is different: MB / L is a bill of lading issued by a shipping company, and HB / L is a bill of lading based on MB / L, which is issued by a freight forwarder. HB / L is not issued if you want to issue it. The agent who issues HB / L must at least have an agent in the port of destination.

2. The header is different: the shipping company MB / L is based on the shipping company, and the HB / L is based on the name of the freight forwarder. The bottom seal is also different. The MB / L seal shows AS CARRIER, and HB / L is AS AGENT FOR CARRIER.

3. The delivery method of the destination port is different: MB / L can be delivered directly to the shipping company. When HB / L is picked up, the agent must be exchanged for MB / L at the destination port. Then pick up the goods by MB / L, commonly known as order exchange. Or the client of the destination port can directly pick up the freight forwarding agent with HB / L.

4. The scope of application is different: MB / L is applicable to FCL FCL cargo. If your cargo is not full container but scattered cargo, you can only export HB / L, because the shipping company will not help you to LCL Yes, it will not help you to distribute the goods to the port of destination.
