In response, at a regular online press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, spokesman Hua Chunying said that after the outbreak of pneumonia caused by a new coronavirus, China has adopted the most thorough and strict prevention and control measures. We express our dissatisfaction and opposition to the disregard of WHO's professional authority recommendations and non-compliance with the ICAO announcement, and we have made solemn representations to the countries concerned. Relevant practices not only do not help prevent and control the epidemic, but artificially create panic, seriously disrupting normal international personnel exchanges and cooperation, and disrupting the order of the international air transport market.

Hua Chunying said that we urge the countries concerned to consider carefully, not to overreact, proceeding from the overall situation of maintaining bilateral exchanges and cooperation, not to restrict the airlines of both sides from operating routes, and immediately modify policies and correct practices in accordance with the recommendations of WHO and ICAO. Demonstrate action to support China's fight against the epidemic.
